Techniques of Alcohol Management (TAM)®
TAM® was created in 1982 to answer a number of different issues surfacing within the industry, primarily the rise in occurrences of drunk driving, sales to minors and visibly intoxicated patrons. As we are faced with various additional issues in our industry, TAM® continuously adapts and addresses those issues as well. Today, the program is the industry-standard — the only nationwide alcohol server training program created by licensees and enforcement veterans. And since it's operated as a non-profit, the focus of the program can remain on providing the most comprehensive, responsible and thorough training available. TAM classes are available at various locations throughout Michigan. Call for a location and date near you!
Liquor Licensee Training Seminar
The perfect course for new licensees, managers, or those who just want the latest information on how to keep their establishment running smoothly! The program gives licensees and managers the information they need to minimize risk in terms of liquor law violations, liability issues, licensing and food-borne illness. Attendees also learn how to develop relationships in their community — with neighbors, patrons and law enforcement officials. Seminars are scheduled several times a year based on demand.
Liquor Law Enforcement Training Seminar
Through a unique partnership with a current law enforcement officer and a retired Liquor Control Enforcement Officer, this program was developed to provide continuing education for those in law enforcement and municipal government. The classes are offered on a regular basis throughout the calendar year. The seminar is for all officers that enforce liquor laws or have any dealing with licensed establishments in the course of their work. Because liquor laws vary widely from state to state, each course is tailored specifically to the audience and focuses on the laws, rules and regulations applicable to the concerned jurisdictions. Law Enforcement Training classes are offered monthly around the state. Please call for details.
